Ashburn Preschool

Preschool Parent Reviews

We sincerely appreciate all of the kind words from these Parent Reviews. We encourage you to read the Parent Reviews for Winwood Children’s Center below. We are also happy to connect you with one of our current parents via e-mail or phone so you can get their feedback on what we believe is the top preschool around

I am writing this letter to recognize the outstanding work of the Ashburn Winwood.  Both my children have attended Winwood schools for many years. From the moment that I walked into the school, knew this was the right move to bring my child here.

My son has attended Winwood schools since July of 2007 and in September 2009, he transitioned to the Ashburn Winwood.  I am very impressed with the commitment and dedication of the entire Ashburn staff.  Although the teachers are assigned to classrooms, it never ceases to amaze me that all the teachers know all the students by name and vice versa!  The teachers form relationships with their students and parents the same and make you feel like one big family.  My son has thrived in this environment and develop skills which is again a tribute to the entire staff. They truly care about the kids and make the parents feel comfortable and safe in leaving their children day after day. My son has learned so many things (shapes, numbers, letters, spelling, and especially manners!) and at a much younger age than my daughter who also attended another Winwood school.

I have recommended Ashburn Winwood to friends in the area and even a bank employee who asked if we had any day care recommendations and we both said WINWOOD-Ashburn!  He stated he would check it out immediately!   Each day that I am away from my child, I know that he is being looked after by all the staff with the same love and affection that I have for my child. Words cannot describe how that makes a parent feel. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and my village is Ashburn Winwood!

To Whom it May Concern,

All too often customers go out of their way to express their dissatisfaction with “services rendered”, the purpose of my note is the opposite.

I will provide you a brief history of why our family ended up at the Ashburn-Windwood facility. In early June 2011, my 4 year old was asked to leave a very pricey day care in the Ashburn area. This sent both my husband and I into a panic. I started calling all the local day care centers in the Ashburn/Leesburg area. Winwood was the second to last call I made and thus our journey began.

From the very first telephone call, when I spoke with Ms. Diana Garcia I knew that this was a different kind of facility. I explained the situation to Ms. Diana, she was kind, thoughtful and refreshingly nurturing. Please keep in mind this was the very first time we had ever spoken with each other.

Within 4 hours of my initial telephone call, Ms. Diana had scheduled a tour of the facility with us. When we arrived for our tour, she greeted me with a hug and said “it will get better and I promise if you choose us, we will take good care of your son”. We toured the entire facility and saved the Pre-school room for last. I met Miss Natalia Alumhaya, one of the many teachers in what would be our son’s class room. And it happened again, Miss Natalia gave me a hug and said “I promise to take care of your son as if he was mine”. Within 3 weeks of the initial cold-call and tour of the Ashburn Winwood center, our son arrived to his first day of school at his “new school”.

Based on my son’s reaction, I knew that this would be different and in a good way. Within 1 month of my son attending his “new school” he was completely potty trained, his vocabulary expanded and he was just a much happier child.

We have now been a Winwood parent since June 2011, he is continuing to thrive, making new friends and always has his daily one-on-one with Ms. Diana. Our son has now transitioned to the Pre-K room and his new teachers (Miss Ginger & Miss Keshia) are also wonderful and are a great match to my son’s unique learning style.

As a parent it is incredibly comforting to know that my son is loved by his teachers and he loves them back. Each day he ask me if he can “go back to his new school” and each day I am happy say of course he can.

I would not hesitate recommending the Ashburn-Winwood facility to other parent, but that is all due to Ms. Diana, Ms. Natalia, Miss Ginger and Miss Keshia – who are wonderful educators and love my child as if he was their own.

Regards,

We have been with Winwood for the past 3 1/2 years full time with our oldest daughter and our youngest just started almost a year ago and  Winwood far surpassed what we could have ever expected for a preschool.  The compassion and love the teachers have for the children is so amazing, and drive to help the children learn is outstanding. Anytime we have questions the teachers ALWAYS find time to meet one on one and I’m most impressed with how they truly know our children individually.  We also feel so lucky to have a director that truly loves our children.  Just as the teachers in the class, her open door policy has been one of the most amazing experiences and I truly believe she is helping us raise our children.  I am always most impressed as each child that enters the school is acknowledged by their name with a warm good morning. She is a constant presence when you arrive in the morning as well at pick up.  From the class curriculum all the way to the summer camp experience that Winwood has been offering us for the past few years we consider ourselves grateful to have found such a perfect preschool for our daughters.
