Ashburn Preschool and Child Care
As parents ourselves, we understand that choosing the best educational child care for your child is one of the hardest decisions you have to make. At Winwood Children’s Center we integrate the most important elements in any child care or preschool – giving your child a fun educational experience and care from an amazing team of teachers. Combined, the value our preschool offers is unparalleled. We extend our school’s value by including nutritious meals and enrichment classes such as Spanish, Sports, and Technology without additional fees.
To give you a better idea about all that our school has to offer we are excited to introduce you to Diana Garcia, our Preschool Director at Winwood Children’s Center in Ashburn, Virginia.
Winwood Ashburn’s atmosphere embodies loving tenderness while encouraging independence, constructive problem solving, positive self-esteem, and improved self-worth. My name is Diana Garcia, I have over 17 years in the child care industry and as Director I have worked vigorously to provide care for all children regardless of race, gender, or economic status. Along with my team members I have worked tirelessly to the Development of a Pre-School Center which operates under the philosophy that children need to be treated with warmth & respect. We make it a priority at Winwood in Ashburn for the children to be surrounded with experiences that foster physical, social, academic, emotional, and cognitive growth. The smaller ratios in our classrooms allow our teachers to build a close rapport with the children and their families.
How children spend their time before and after school is a concern for many parents. According to the Child Care Bulletin (March/April 1995, Issue 2) the average child spends 3 hours a day watching television or playing video games. A high % of school-aged children whose parents work are cared for by 2 or more different childcare arrangements per week. Almost 15% (14.6%) of children spend some time alone each week, with that percentage increasing with age. That is why at Winwood in Ashburn we have developed a magnificent After School program where extended academic learning is the norm therefore improving their grades, keeping them safe, benefiting working families and having a positive effect on the entire community. We encourage not only their academic development but also their participation in team sports by sponsoring numerous youth local teams.
Acquiring competent productive and forward looking employees is essential to customer satisfaction and the growth and expansion of the company. To that end we provide extensive training as well as growth incentives with a view to grooming each employee to discover and reach his or her true potential.
Sincerely,
Diana Garcia
